Having contributed to the creation of over one thousand companies, Ideas UPV celebrated its 30th anniversary alongside its annual awards ceremony.
Recently, the startup Verázial Labs was recognized by the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) through its entrepreneurship ecosystem, Ideas UPV, at the 16th edition of the Ideas UPV Awards. These awards honor the most outstanding companies and startups originating from the university.
Verázial Labs secured third place among 22 competing startups in the “Lean Awards” category. This award highlights the company’s strong growth potential and operational methodology within one of the region’s leading startup ecosystems.
The ceremony brought together more than 200 attendees to reflect on the evolution of Ideas UPV, spanning its past, present, and future, and gathered key figures who have driven its success over the last three decades. Special awards were also presented to recognize the dedication and achievements of those behind the program’s successful growth.
Since 1992, Ideas UPV has fostered the creation of 1,000 companies, achieving a survival rate exceeding 65%, a figure significantly higher than other entrepreneurial ecosystems. Furthermore, the initiative has advised over 8,300 individuals, providing nearly 15,000 hours of personalized support. Startups founded at UPV have raised over €500 million in funding rounds. Since its launch in 2012, this incubation, acceleration, and mentoring program has supported over 200 startups.
